The Daring Way™

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was designed for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings. During the process we explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding us back and we identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.

Daring™ Moms:

Based on the work and research of Brené Brown, Ph.D., and her book Daring Greatly and audiobook The Power of Vulnerability for Parents, Daring Moms™ is an eight-week group designed specifically for moms to explore and cultivate a deeper, more meaningful connection with their kids by taking a look at what it means to be a vulnerable parent in today’s world. We’ll explore the values of our families, take a look at how trust is cultivated within our own family culture, grow empathy and self-compassion, and learn how to truly relate and connect with our children by identifying all of the messages that get in the way. Vulnerability, wholeheartedness, authenticity, and bravery will become part of our arsenal of parenting tools that will take us to a deeper, more meaningful connection with our kids. Where will you show up, be seen, and live bravely as a mom?  Cost is $375 and includes the group, a journal and a workbook. Max 8 participants.

The Daring Way for Women™

Based on the work and research of Brené Brown, Ph.D., and her book Daring Greatly, this eight-week group explores why vulnerability and the willingness to live wholeheartedly create the deepest, most meaningful connections in our lives. As women, we’ll explore what keeps us from being fully vulnerable, identify true trust, empathy and self-compassion and how to work toward a sense of shame resiliency by being able to “speak shame” in order to live more wholeheartedly. Whether you want to show up, be seen and live bravely at work, home, in your marriage, with your children, or anywhere else, this group will help you identify what it takes to really feel deeply connected in your life, work and love for yourself and others. Cost is $375 and includes the group, a journal and a workbook. Max 6 participants.

The Daring Way™ for Daring Girls

What does it mean to live an authentic life (be yourself) and how do we do that in middle school (when everything is changing)? Join us for our six-week small group for 10-14 year old girls where we’ll learn what au-then-ti-ci-ty means and how to live it even when we’re uncertain about so many things. We’ll talk about values, trust, empathy, self-compassion and learn how to filter in the good stuff and leave out the not-so-great when it comes to being you in middle school! Cost is $325 and includes the group, a journal and a workbook. Max 6 participants.

The Daring Way™ for Couples

Based on the work and research of Brené Brown, Ph.D., and her book Daring Greatly, this eight-week group for couples will help you identify and explore what it means to be vulnerable in your relationship with one another in order to have a deeper more meaningful connection and why it can be so incredibly hard to get there. We’ll explore the ways trust is built and why empathy and self-compassion need to be in the front row of your relationship arena and we’ll also discover how our own personal messages of shame can get in the way from having the connection we so often desire. Trust, values, empathy, self-compassion, dis-arming and wholeheartedness become the vital tools you’ll receive in order to move closer to connection with your partner. Cost is $425 per couple and includes the group, a journal and a workbook for each participant. Max 5 couples.

Join us for our six-week small group for 10-14 year old boys where we’ll learn what au-then-ti-ci-ty means and how to live it even when we’re uncertain about so many things. We’ll look at how to create and cultivate more meaningful relationships in life with yourself and others as well as explore personal and family values, trust in relationships, empathy, self-compassion and ways to identify shame self-talk (and what to do about it) in order to live a more wholehearted and authentic life. Rising Strong™

In this 8-week group, we will reckon, rumble and rise with and through our own stories, navigating courage, compassion, truth, grief and forgivness along the way. We will learn how to get curious, reckon, with our emotions, rumble with our own stories and learn how to make our new stories so intrinsic in our lives it will feel like a revolution.

“The irony is that we attempt to disown our difficult stories to appear more whole or more acceptable, but our wholeness – even our wholeheartedness – actually depends on the integration of all of our experiences, including the falls” ~ Brené Brown

Rising Strong™ as Parents:

Based on the work and research of Brené Brown, Ph.D., and her book Rising Strong as well as her audiobook The Power of Vulnerability for Parents, this six-week group explores the art of story-telling (that’s not always the most accurate) in our roles as parents. We’re hard-wired for connection, understanding and story as our brain is always on the move to make sense of the world around us. Sometimes the story we create is accurate, and other times, it can take us pretty far from the loving connection we so desperately want with our children. Join us as we break down what it means to be vulnerable in our relationships with our children; what happens when we fall and fail our own expectations, how to reckon with our emotion using mindfulness and first drafts and how to move forward introducing forgiveness and working on letting go. If you’ve ever had a face-down moment as a parent, Rising Strong™ will teach you how to re-write the story and move forward with a clear perspective. Come reckon, rumble and revolutionize the way you feel about yourself as a parent. Cost is $375 and includes the group, a journal and a workbook. Max 8 participants.
